Board your international flight to India.

Day 2

Welcome to Delhi

After arriving in Dehli you will meet your local bi-lingual guide.  Journey to your hotel where you will learn about the week’s exciting activities.

Days 3-5

An Exploration of Old and New

India shoppingDiscover New Delhi’s first example of the Mughal imperial architecture at Humayun’s Tomb, view the presidential palace located along the majestic Rajpath and participate in a local family culinary experience.  Delight in the treasures Old Dehli has to offer – trishaw rides through Chandni Chowk, pay your respects to the great Mahatma Gandhi while visiting the Raj Ghat and don’t forget to shop the crafts bazaar and art galleries at the Khan Market before being transferred to the city of Agra. Day 6

The Majestic Taj Mahal

India Taj mahalExperience the wonder and beauty of the iconic Taj Mahal.  Visit Agra Fort for a view into the beautiful art culture of this region of India that boasts private collections of gems and tapestries.  Prior to retiring to your hotel for the night, visit a local orphanage to meet local children and teachers of the area. B

Day 7-8

Take In The Sights Atop an Elephant

India elephantTransfer to the scenic city of Jaipur, the rose-pink capital of Rajasthan.  Tour the City Palace, 18th century astronomical observatory, and study the collections of sculptures and paintings while walking through the Albert Museum.  See the sights of Amber Palace atop an elephant before dining for an authentic Indian dinner inside the Palace.  B, D (1)

Days 9-10

Explore Jodhpur

India shoesTravel to the city of Jodhpur which is dominated by the Meherangarh Fort that sprawls across a 350 foot hill.  The Clock Tower Market offers travelers the chance to shop rich, colorful spices, textiles, and silver markets.  The adventure begins on a sunset camel safari on the sand dunes prior to a Champagne Dinner with local folk entertainment. Day 11-12

Udaipur, The Valley amid Green Hills

During the transfer to Udaipur, we’ll stop to visit the Jain temple of Ranakpur, elephant safari and dine for lunch at the Mountbatten Lodge.  Explore the beautiful banks of the wide, steel blue Lake Pichola before participating in a special religious ceremony and witness the Festival of Lights.  Visit the Seva Mandir Organization, a NGO which helps in natural resource development and health and women’s empowerment. Conclude your night with a sunset cruise on Lake Pichola.  B, L (1)

Day 13

India dancingTransfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Visit a modern family home for a cocktail. Later, visit ‘Kingdom of Dreams’, a centre of Indian art, culture and heritage. Enjoy India’s first live entertainment and theatre with authentic dinner of a regional cuisine of India.  Prepare for your early morning flight back home! B, D
